waishted enough toirne over it al-
ready to build two arr tree staishuns;
so they hey. Thin theer is a lot av
more talk about the proice av gaso-

ter Binnitt an Hughie Guthrie wus
afther rnakin lasht summer, an about
whether the C.N.R. is being run pro-
perly arr not, an nivir a wurrud about
chapenin the proice av the necissities
av loife I hev minshunned. Shure,
P.arleymint is gittin to be no betther
than a tay parthy, arr a quiltin 'bee,
wid the wimmin talkin about iviry-
ting undher .the sun from theer child-
er to the new hat av the Minishter's
woife. If I wus in Mishter Binnitt's
place I wud tell thim lads,"Theer
is the bidgit, an ye kin 'take it arr
laive it, but we musht git on wid the
wurruk."
I notish that Jarge Shpotton isn't
havin much to say about tings, an,
shure, it is the sinsibleway to be,
an I wud advoise hien to kape roight
on sayin nothin, fer whin ye don't
say annyting ye hevn't annyting to
take back.
Thim cincus fellahs do be makin'.
theer rounds foindin out how many
ould paypte theer are in town wid
the oidea av developin Wingham as
a health resort. That is a sirisible
skame, but whin it comes to inquir-
in how many fruit trees ye,hey in yer
back lot an how many . gladic iium
bulbs ye hev planted, I can't see much
rayson in it, at all, at all, so I . don't.
Nobody sames to hev found out yit
the rayson av the harrud toimes nor
the rimidy fer thirty, We are tould
that the banks are clutthered up wid
money, an nobody wantin it, barrin
the bandits. Shure, 'tis a quare ould
wurruld.
I kin tell ye what I tink is the cause
av all the thrubble, an mebby me own
guess isas good as annybody ilse's.
'Tis the cridit sishtim, so it is. If
Governmints, an Cities, an towns, an
proivate individuals wud only buy
what they nade, an kin pay fer whin
they git it, we shudden't be in the
mess we are in at the prisint toime.
Thim lads who nayther ask fer cre-
dit, nor give it, are not complainin
av harrud toimes, but whin a Gov
ernmint, arr a town, arr a person, has
'a lot av interest to pay iviry year,
an no money to pay it wid, thin they
are in thrubble, an thefellah who wus
ixpicktin his money from thins can't
pay the fellah he owes, an he can't
pay the nixt fellah, an purty soon
r'obody kin pay, an thin we hev what
the noospaypers call deprishun, loike
we hev it at the prisint toirne.
