Annual report of; the Chairman of
the Board of Health showing the

year, received and read.
No appeals have been received
against the assessments in connection
with the McQuillan drain, the by-law
in connection therewith was finally`
read and passed as was also another
by-law designating the ownership and
control of trees on the public high-
ways.

sum of $7000.00 for the purpose of
purchasing the said Wingham Arena,
which sumwould be the amount of
the debt to be created;
AND WHEREAS the amount of
the whole rateable property of the
Municipality according to the last re-
vised assessment roll is $1,093,002.
AND WHEREAS the amount of
the debenture debt of the Corporation
is $230425.11 no part of the principal
or interest of which is in arrears;
BE IT THEREFORE ENA

by the Municipal Council of the Cor-
poration of the Town of Wingharn:
1. For the purpose mentioned in the
preamble there shall be borrowed on
the credit of the Corporation the stem
of $7000.00 and debentures shall be
issued therefore on the sinking fund
plan in suras of not less than $100,00
eachs which shall have coupons
at-
tached thereto for the pay ,ierit of rim
interest.
2, The debentures shall all bear the
same date and shall be issued within
two years after the date on which. this
By -Law is passed, and may bear any
elate within such two years and shall
be payable within ten years from the

shall bear interest at the rate of four
and one-half per cent, per annum, pay-
able yearly.

cipal,and interest shall be expressed
in Canadian currency and may be pay-

poration at a meeting thereof to be
held after the expiration of one month
from the date of the first publication
of this notice andthat such publica-

ber, 1935.

who desires to vote upon the said pro-
posed By-law must deliver to the
Clerk not later than the tenth day be-
fore the day appointed for taking the
vote, a declaration under the Canada
Evidence Act that he is a tenant
whose lease extends for the time for
which the debt or liability is to be.

Glen grout which was splendid. Oth-
er numbers were, a duet by Lois and
Bernice Applebee, guitar duets - by
Ruth and Sadie Stpkes, contest by
Evelyn Lincoln, recitation "An Ode
to a Lot of Stove. Pipes" by M. Jeff -
ray, reading "Grandmother's Beau",..
Evelyn Lincoln. A social chat and
a' clip of tea and lunch brought a jolly
evening to a close.
