PLAN TO BUILD MIDGET CARS What is probably the smallest au- tomobile in Canada is being demon- strated to dealers in Toronto by rep- resentatives of a French motor -car de- signer. This midget car, seen outside the Parliament Buildings, weighs only 1,100 pounds, and is powered by a 1 - cylinder motor which develops 20 horsepower at 4,000 revolutions per minute, It will be marketed at $325. Negotiations are being conducted to float a company with a capital of $75,000. The single -cylinder power plant, which is mounted directly over the front axle, provides front -wheel trac- tion. Conventional differential axle and three -speed transmission complete the unit. Capable of 65 miles an hour, the midget car has gasoline mileage. of 55 miles per gallon. The sample car at presents in Toronto has travelled 13,- 000 miles. It is the only one of its kind in existence, as it is a custom- built job constructed by the designer for demonstration purposes. ut ensa . lturrdtr; five runs in Farm For Quick Sale Gond Buildings Well Watered Near School Cosens 8t Boo llitlPte5'" Office 165.
