A very fitting. and impressive Jub-
ilee Service was held in St. Stephen's
Church on Sunday, when special
hymns were sung and the choir rend-
ered a very fitting patriotic anthem.

Macfarland - Allan
The marriage of Janet Louise, only
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Al-
lan, Wroxeter, Ont., to Dr. Maxwell
Theodore Macfarland, Ottawa, Ott,:
took place on Saturday, May 4th, at
Harvard Congregational Church, tos-
toll, Massachusetts. The ceremony
was performed by the Rey, Dr. Ash-
ley. D. Leavitt, pastor of the church,
assisted by the groom's father.
The bridge, given in marriage by

de soie in a deep toned aqua With
crushed girdle of shaded brown velvet
and matching broad brimmed hat and
shoes. Her bouquet was of Johanna
Hill roses.
After the ceremony a reception was
held for the immediate relatives at the
home of Dr. and Mrs. Allan, St. Paul
Terrace. The latter wearing blue and
silver, received with the bride's mo-
ther who wore black chiffon with cor-

Interior Decorating Course
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednes-
day of last week it was the privilege
of the community women to have a
course on Interior Decorating and
House Furnishing with Miss Slider
of the Dept. in charge. The first day
was taken up in a lecture with slides.
The second and third alternoons were
held at Mrs, Wearring'a and Mrs.
Brown's, at which meetings Miss Slic-
ter dealt with hangings, arrangement
