'Plans were cliscr.tssed to have a literary society open in connection with the library to commence in the Fall. Mr. ' David Hall, of Toronto, brought the remains of his mother, Mrs. D. Hall Sr., to Gorrie cemetery forburial last Friday. Mr. Hall had his remains cremated before bringing them here for burial. The first day was more or less an intro- duction to the re -arranging of ' furni- ture, which took place on Thursday at the home of the secretary, while Friday's lesson included the ways whereby a room can be made larger, smaller, ceilings lowered and windows made larger or smaller. The class will re -arrange four living -rooms in the village this week and a tour will be made of these.on Monday next when Miss Slicter wlil complete the course. The ladies of the -community are in- vited to snake the tour with the class. Sellers left on Friday of last week for Toronto, where she will visit with friends. Wearring was in charge of the topic "Canadian .Industries" and gave many facts and figures of which we should be proud as, Canadians. Final plans were made for the 3 - day course on "Home Planning and Furnishing" which is being held this week.
