CORM held Monday night, it was decided
that the open hours at the Library be
from 3to 5 o'clock during May, June,
Judy, August and September, instead
of from 2 to 5 a'cllck. 'Plans were
cliscr.tssed to have a literary society
open in connection with the library
to commence in the Fall.
The annual meeting of the Town-
ship Library will be field in Belmore
Library on May 8th, to elect officers
for the year 1935-36.
D. 'A, Hall was the guest of Mr.

Mr. A. E. Toner and Mr. William
Gallagher, of Gorrie, also Mr. John
Warrell and Mr. Win. Douglas, of
Orange Hill, were in Dungannon on
Sunday.
Guests of Mr. Adam Sipple on Sun-

Little Edith Hastie spent a couple
of days this week with her aunt and.
uncle, Mr. and Mrs, Tom MacDonald,
near Molesworth.
Master Jack Watson, of Blyth, vis-
ited, his eousin, Bertram Ashton, a
couple of days last week.
Mr, and Mrs. "J. T. Shera were Sun-
day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fitch
at Belmore. '

Mr. and Mrs. Percy Ashton and

spent Friday with her father, Mr, Jas.
Hastie, who is confined to his bed, at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Hastie, through illness.

Mr, R. J. Hueston has bought him-
self a , new Dodge sedan.
Miss E. A:. Slider, of the Depart-
ment of Agriculture, Toronto, was the
.guest of Mrs. W. C. King, during her
stay in town.
Messrs. Carroll. Gregg and Knowl-
son Hueston, spent .a couple of days
-in Toronto last week where Mr.
Gregg. attended the O.L.A. conven-
tion.

Mr. and Mrs. Cronsberry of Palm-

Miss Norma Graham, who has spent
. about two months with her sister in
Woodstock, returned home last week.
Mr. Sandy Hastie and Miss Jean
Walker, of Toronto, spent Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hastie,
and Mrs. T. Hastie who has been vis-
iting here for two weeks, returned
home with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hall, of Tor-
onto visited. friends in the vicinity re-
cently.
Mrs. J. A. Howes, north of Gorrie,
spent the week -end at Harriston with
relatives.'
Mr.Elmer Britt spent the latter part
of last week with relatives in Toron-
to, and his brother, 13i11, who had been
holidaying there, returned borne with
trim.
Mr. ' David Hall, of Toronto,
brought the remains of his mother,
Mrs. D. Hall Sr., to Gorrie cemetery
forburial last Friday. Mr. Hall had
his remains cremated before bringing
them here for burial.
Mr. and Mrs. Thos. MacDonald of
MoleseVorth were Sunday guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hastie.
Mr. Wilmer Donnolley, of Fort Er-
ie, also Mr. Alf. Ferguson, of Wiarton,

HOUSE FURNISHING
COURSE HELD
Gorrie Women's Institute held a
very successful three-day course in
House Furnishing with Miss Slieter,
of Kitchener, as the -Instructress. The
first day was more or less an intro-
duction to the re -arranging of ' furni-
ture, which took place on Thursday
at the home of the secretary, while
Friday's lesson included the ways
whereby a room can be made larger,
smaller, ceilings lowered and windows
made larger or smaller. The class will
re -arrange four living -rooms in the
village this week and a tour will be
made of these.on Monday next when
Miss Slicter wlil complete the course.
The ladies of the -community are in-
vited to snake the tour with the class.
Wroxeter and Fordwich are taking
the class this week,

Mrs. M. Sellers left on Friday of
last week for Toronto, where she will
visit with friends.
Mrs. Frank McLellan' and little
daughter, of Oshawa, have been Vis-
iting with the former's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. W. E. VanVelsor.
Mr. and 'Mrs. W. A. Sawtell made
a hurried visit to Toronto last week,
motoring down on Wednesday even-
ing and returning on Thursday morn-
ing.
We trust that Mrs. John Patterson,
who has been i11 at the have of her
daughter, Mrs. W. T. McLean, will
soon be well again. •
Miss Evelyn Gamble, of Thames-
ford visited one day last week at the
home of Mrs- Mary Edgar.
Miss Anna Hooper of Turnberry,
returned from. Toronto on Wednes-
day of last week,after spending a few
days in the city,
Mr, Andrew Kennedy, who was in
this community last sumemr working
at gardening, is here as present. He
spent the winter at Kirkland Lake,
employed in the pulp mills.

King's Jubilee Service
The special order of service prepar-
ed by the Committee of Ritual and
authorized by the Moderator of the
United Church, will be used on Sun-
day, morning service. The Pastor,
Rev, W. A. Finlay, will have charge

The April meeting of the W. L was
held on Thursday last at the home
of Mrs, Allen Munroe with a splen-
did attendance.
The Roll Call, A Community Need,
brought many worthy suggestions.
Mrs. G. A. Wearring was in charge
of the topic "Canadian .Industries" and
gave many facts and figures of which
we should be proud as, Canadians.
Final plans were made for the 3 -
day course on "Home Planning and
Furnishing" which is being held this
week.
A full report of the year's work was
given by Mrs. Sellers which showed
splendid progress in the branch. The
