S., Elect Officers The Young Peoples' meeting on Friday night was presided over by Carman Hetherington. The devotional and business periods were followed by a fine report of Y. P. S. Presbyterial gatherings, as found in "The Gleam," and read by Miss Einina Johnston, Miss Donna Smith favoured with a pleasing solo and Mrs. A. Aitkin ably led the dis- cussion on "The right use of money." The officers for the ensuing year were elected, and are as follows: President -Carman Hetherington. lst, Vice Pres. -Alice Thornton, 2nd. Vice Pres. -Carl Johnston. 3rd, Vice Pres. -William Peacock, 4th; Vice Pres. -Isobel Watson. Secretary -Donna Smith, Press reporter -Mrs. A. V. Robb. Pianist -Miss B. Thornton, Preliminary arrangements were also made for the banquet to be held on Old Year's Night. Institute Had Fine Meeting, A pleasant afternon was enjoyed on Thursday December 13th. when Mrs. Alex Mowbray was hostess for the Woman's Institute, being the Christmas month the programme throughout was in keeping with the season. The President, Mrs. S. '. N, Gallahar presided. Miss Lela Leggatt of 'Whitechurh spent the week -end iwth her cousin, Miss Alba Mowbray.' James McHardy spent a few days this week in Brussels. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Moffatt are en- joying a visit with' friends at Kings- ville. ' Miss Elizabeth Robertson went to Toronto this week where, she has se- cured a position. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Bosman are in Wingham with their daughter, Mrs.' R. H. Lloyd. Mr. Bosman is not en-: joying good health and is under the doctor's care. Mrs. Neil B. Eachern and baby Louise of Mount Forest are with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Garniss, Mrs. Burns Moffatt and son Floyde are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Garniss 3rd, Concession, Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Powell and little daughter, Easter, accompan- ied by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bell, all of Tara, spent Sunday•at the home of Mr. William Thornton.
