The second game of the playoffs. for the "B" class was played Friday night, in the record time of 45 min- utes. The Cabs, behind the pitching of "Jake" Templeman, administered a walloping to the Aces, 8-4, and tied the series. making a third game ne- cessary. The Cubs would have been tough opposition for any team Friday. night, and if they play that brand of ball the Aces will have their hands full in the third game. Third Game of (Play -Offs The third game of the "A" Class play-offs is scheduled for 5.00 sharp this afternoon (Wednesday). The game was called for this time sq that nothing could interfere with it, and as these two teams, Transport Oil and Silvertowns, are old rivals, and both capable teams, a• real game should be the result. No natter which way the game goes, it will be a battle royal and will be worth while seeing. * * * * Cubs Wins "B" Class Championship The Cubs won the "B" Class Cham- pionship Monday night in a hotly- contested battle with the Aces, who were picked as the winners. The Aces scored four runs in the first inning, the Cubs came right back with twelve to take the lead, but they couldn't hold it. The Aces were leading by six runs when the Cubs went to bat in the last inning and put up a thrill- ing fight, scoring seven runs and winning the game and championship. Seli did the pitching for the Aces, while "Jake" Templeman started for the Cubs, C. Merkley finishing.
