S'cobie of Wilton Grove will be present and take the services there. The young people are presenting their play, Closed Lips, at Nile on Wednesday evening. Farrier and family spent Saturday at' the home of her sister, Mrs. Sam Reid, Ash- field, attending the wedding of their eldest daughter, Evelyn Ma- tila Reid, to Mr. Peter Cook, son of the late Mr. Peter Cook and Mrs. Cook of Ashfield, Rev. Mr. Patten of Zion' United Church, officiated, The couple left an a motor trip to Niagara. Many from here who knew the bride;' will wish them many long years of happy wedded life. Mrs. A. Emerson and James left on Sunday to visit with relatives in Milton and Acton. Rev, and Mrs. Graydon Cox and Mr. Earle Cox, of Pangman, Sask., arrived at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Ross, Mon- day. They were accompanied by his parents, Mr. and Mrs, David Cox of Palmerston and Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Cox, of Detroit. Trinity Garden Party The menders off Trinity Anglican Church, Belgrave, held a very suc- cessful garden party at the home of Mrs. J. Nethery in the village. Af- ter the supper a splendid program by the Henderson Entertainment Company, of London, was enjoyed. The program consisted of vocal sol- os violin solos, dancing numbers end readings. Bach artist perform- ed in .splendid style and the num- bers were Heartily encored by the audience. Showered A very pleasant evening was spent on Thursday evening when friends in the •community gathered. together in the biaseinient of Knox United Church in honor of Miss C. Coutes whose marriage took place Saturday.
