Woman's Association to Make, Quilts
The regular, monthly meeting of
the Woman's Association of the Un-
ited Church was held on Thursday af-
ternoon at the hchne of Mrs, Arthur
McGee with Mrs. Ed. Johnston in
charge. After an opening hymn and,
Scripture reading Mrs. George Thorn-
ton led in prayer. Twenty-six mem-
bers and three visitors answered to
the Roll Call. Business consisted of
making plans for quilting and also to
do some decorating at the parsonage.
At the close of the ,meetinglunch
was served by Mrs. C. Hetherington
and Mrs. S. N. - Gallaher along with
the hostess,

Interior.
The Ladies' Aid of Knox Presby-
terian Church met on Thursday af- 1
ternoon at the home of the President,
.Mrs. Alex. Mowbray. The meeting
opened by singing a hymn and pray-
er by Mrs, D. J,, Falconer, Arrange-
ments were made for decorating the
interior of the manse. The quilt com-
mittee -reported having sold two quilts
and plans were made to make some
more quilts. Material to be left with
Miss Scott. The meeting closed by
repeating the Lord's Prayer in unison.

Appointed Despatcher at Stratford
F. S. Edmonds, C.N.R. stat, '- ag-

duties permanently on May 1st. Mr,
Edmonds, expects to move his -wife
and family to Stratford, this week.
