OBITUARY
Walter Asil Coultes
Following a long illness, Walter
Asil Coultes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jno.
Coultes of Morris Township, passed
away on Sunday, April 15th, aged 42
years.
Surviving their loss, besides his fa-
ther and mother, are two sisters, Mrs.
Harmon Mitchell of Drayton, Miss
Elizabeth Cela, and two brothers,
John Miller and Robert Howson.
The funeral was held on Wednes-
day afternoon, Aprjl, 18th, service be-
ing held in Knox United Church, Bel -
grave, of which deceased was a mem-
ber, and was conducted by Rev, Mr.
Grant, pastor of the church. Inter-
ment took place in Brandon Cemet-
er:y
,where she has since lived. She was
the last of a fancily of twelve and
fan adherent of the United Cladreh.
She leaves to mourn their loss, one
daughter, Mrs.. R.' M. Lindsay, of Re -

Another pioneer of this district has
passed on to her reward, in the per-
son of Mary Jane Walter, widow of
the late John Ansley, in her 89th year.
Despite her advanced age Mrs. Ans-
ley; enjoyed good health_until she
went to Toronto at Easter to visit
her son, While there she was taken
ill and following a few days' of sick-
ness she succumbed with a heart at-
tack on Thursda. April 12th.

Mrs. Thomas Higgins. •
This community lost another .of its
pioneer women on Friday ,in the per-
son of Margaret Taylor, widow of the
late Mr. Thomas Higgins, who passed
away at London, Ont. Mrs. Higgins
was born 81 years ago in the town-
ship of turnberry and was married at
the age of eighteen years to Mr. T.
Higgins who predeceased her by 18
years.
They began married life on the 5th
concession of. Turnberr5 y where they
continued to reside until thirty years

Mrs. Higgins was a faithful and de-
voted member of the Methodist'
Church in Bluevale and for many
years was active in the Women's or-
ganizations of the church. Her kind-
ly disposition and cheerful manner en-
deared her to those who had the
pleasure of her acquaintance.
She is survived by five sons, Frank,
Will aricl Bent, in the Canadian West,
Vernon in Toronto, and J. 'C. Higgins.

Fleming, of London, and the young
est daughter, Hing. Naylor deceased.
The funeral was held from the Un-
ited Church, Wroxeter, on Sunday af-
ternoon, when a large number gath-
ered to pay their last respects •to the
departed.
Interment took place in the Wrox•
-
eter cemetery. The pall -bearers were
six nephews: Robt., Nelson, Gordon,
Ed. and Chester Higgins and Gordon
Gibson.
