FROM TEESWATER
The final game scheduled in the
Lakeside League was played in Tees -
water on Thursday when the local
team won by 8-3. Andy Bell was on
the mound for the local team and
gave a good account of himself, strik-
ing
triking out 9 men and i :dloving but four
hits. Dee to Wilbur Tiffin and Car-
michael being unable to play, Mellor
played short and 5. Cruickshank left
field, and both these youthful players
got two hits each. As far as Wing -
ham was concerned this gain would
not, affect their position in the league
which was second.
'The team as a whole batted well,
touching Blair for 14 hits.
