Mr. and Mrs. Miller of St. Helens and their daughter, Mrs. Sparks and daughter, Eileen, Dorchester, visited last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Gaunt. This week will see the end of the harvest on a good many farms in this` district. The grain is short and the stooks "seem to be few and far be- tween in many of the fields. Mrs. Cameron Sr., of Lanark, and Mr. and Mrs. Ab. Cameron, of Ash- field, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Pardon. Stapleton, last week, while he was engaged at work in London, he fell from a tree and suffered seri- ous injury, to his back.
