He has been in failing helath for twoyears, and for some months has been cared for by Mrs. Isabell Johnston at her nurs- ing home, Myth. He was taken to Toronto about three weeks ago for special treatment but was brought back in a serious condition, death taking place in a few, days. His wife who -was formerly Ella Dobie, of near Auburn, passed away a few years ago as did a brother, Alex., Ross f al- so Blyth. so a sister, Mrs. John yth. He was well and favorably known in his community and had many friends. Being a player of the bag- pipes his services were much sought after at times. He -vas a member of the Presby- terian Church. Funeral services were private and were conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. T. Mills, interment taking place in Union cemetery. John Oliver Death came with startling sudden- ness to John Oliver, Brussels, on Saturday, from heart trouble. He died at the home of Mrs. Hugh La- mont, where he had gone to repair an implement for which he was an ag- ent. He was in his 62nd year. Alice M. Dunning Following a long serious illness in the Sick Children's Hospital, Toron- to, Alice M. Dunning passed away on Monday, July 31st. She was the dau- ghter of Earl and Anna Dunning, a niece of Rev, and Mrs, Kenneth Mac- Lean. Little Eleanor Dunning, who has been staying with Rev. and Mrs. MacLean for some time, is a sister. The funeral was held on Wednes- day afternoon from the residence of Irs. Hattie Dunning, Cumberland, Ont.
