Returned Missionary Will Lecture
Rev. 'Mr. Storey, returnedmission-
ary of South_ Arnerica, gave an in-
teresting address at the Presbyterian
Church, here, on Sunday afternoon,
giving his attentive audiences 'soiree
of his knowledge of the great coun-
try to the south of us, stating that
97% of the population were Indian
people, there .being between' 400 and.
500 different tribes, all speaking a
different language. During his dis-
course he gave a vivid word picture
of some of the beliefs of the tribes,
Mr. Storey is giving anillustrated
lecture in the church here on ,Wed-
nesday evening, and will endeavor to

HOLD RE -UNION
A delightful gathering of the Coch-
rane Clan was held on Saturday, July
1st, , at the home of Mr. and Mrs,
Stuart Edgar, South of Gorrie. Near-
ly one hundred relatives were pres-
ent at this their 4th reunion. Dinner
and supper were served on the spac-
ious lawns. wn During the afternoon
many races of different types were
run and enjoyed by old and young,
An added feature to the 'sports pro-
gram was s a baseball a
g 1 game in which a
great deal of interest was taken, Mr.
Ernest Newbigging of Atwood, was
elected. President, with Mrs. Daniel
Faulkner, of 13luevale, as Treasurer.
Plans were made to hold the re-
union in 1934 at the horne of Mr,
James. Newbigging at Atwood.
Among those present were Mr,
Cellanct of Atwood, being the oldest
member of the clan at the gathering.
Other guests were present from

The judging of live stock, in which
40 boys participated, took place on

UNITED CHURCH
GARDEN ]PARTY
The annual Garden Party held on
Wednesday evening last under the
auspices of Woman's Association of
Wroxeter United Church was a suc-
cess,' The ladies served a nice supper
in the schoolroom of the church
which was artistically decorated with
summer flowers or every hue for the
occasion.
Following the supper a play was.
given in the Town Hall by 16 tidies
from Brussels' entitled 'The Minist-
er's Wife's New Hat" It was a mus-
ical comedy and each member of, the'
caste is to be congratulated on play-
ing a splendid part, several of the
members showing splendid musical
ability. Altogether it was a delightful
evening's 'entertainment and the 23rus-
soles players will be welcomed again,.
