Lorne Elder and little son, Kenneth, of Hamilton spent the weekend with their parents Mr. a.nd Mrs. John Elder and Mr. and Mrs. John Passmore. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brydginan and family of Guelph spent a day recently with Mrs, D. Walks and. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Kerslake. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. McEwen spent the weekend at the home of the for- mer's brother, at Sarnia. Mr. and 'Mrs. Allen Davidson of Sarnia are holidaying at the home of their parents, \Ir. and Mrs. Or- ville rville Twitchell, :firs. Ed. Finek underwent an appendix operation at Scott Memor- ial Hospital, Seaforth, on Monday evening.. Mr, and Mrs. F. G. Bonthron -visited over the weekend with the former's sister, Mrs. MacMartin, in Barrie,. Mr, and Mrs. J. W. Bonthron are holidaying with the latter's sisters, Mrs. Peppier at her summer home t Southampton. Mr. and .Mrs. Ray Patterson of Toronto, spent the weekend with the former's parent.. Mr. and Mrs. R. .T. Paterson. Miss Pearl Reid of London was the guest of her aunt Mrs. Jas. Mc- lonald and Miss Margeurite, over the holiday. Miss Norma Cook of London, spent the weekend at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Shepherd of Toronto visited over the holiday weekend with the latter's parents Mr.. and Mrs. Jas. Sr -dine. Mrs. MacGregor of Seaforth visit- • ed last week with .firs, Hannah Workman. . Sillic Miekle returned home after holidaying with Billie Campbell, at Guelph.. Miss Eleanor Cook visited re- cently with Miss Ruth Young in Fergus. Mr. Gus Voth of Detroit spent the weekend at the hone of Mrs, Lou Simpson. He was accomp- anied home by Mrs. Voth and Gwen- dolyn, who spent the past two weeks here., Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Slavin and Miss Elizabeth Slavin, visited on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed', Stewart and Dir. and Mrs, Wilmer Stewart at Grand Bend. Mr. ,and :firs. A. Hunkin and Miss Eleanor Hunkin of Thames Road visited on Sunday with Mr. and ,Mrs. Roy MacLaren and Donald. The Hensall Senior Institute will continence their fall meetings on Sept. 12 when a "Pot -Luck" supper will be hold at the home of Mrs. John E. McEwen with Mrs. A Orr co -hostess. Each member is asked to bring refreshments suitable for the supper as well as their own silver- ware.. Trooper W. A. Nichol, Mrs. Nichol and daughter Phyllis, of Sturgeon Falls, spent a few days last week with the former's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clark Sr. Trooper Nichol who arrived hone in Canada in July of this year, enli=ted with the First Hussars in 1941, and has seen service in France, Belgium, and Holland.
