Sin- clair united in marriage, Margaret MacDonald Murray, Reg. N., daught- er of Mrs. .Johnson, Blyth and the •late William Murray, to Mr, Robert Cole, son :of Mr, and Mrs, Robert Cole, •Goderich Township: The bride wore a street -length dress of foist blue crepe with escalloped tl. ui peplum extending into -a tie at the back and escalloped French neck line. She wore a small flower hat of white and blue hyacinthes, and carried -a bouquet of Briaicliffe roses; Mrs. Donald Wilson, Clinton, was matron of -honor in a gown of white silk With printed bowler and deep purple accessories, She carried :Johanna Hill roses, Dr. Randal Cole, London, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride's s mother received the guests Wearing forget- me-not blue With white accessories, .She was assisted by the bridegroom's mother in navy blue with navy acces- sories. The couple left for a honey- moon at 'The Pines," near Midland the bride travelling in a drapes{ Model of beige corded erepo with black accessories, an olive green coat with white wolf trim. On their re- turn. they will reside on the bride- groom's farm near Varna- Guests at the wedding were from New York, Sarnia, Toronto, Aurora, Clinton': and Blyth. There passed away at her late resi- dence. it Walton. Eva Gertrude Scott, beloved wife of the late Albert 'horns in her titllh year. after a lingering ill- ness. The latter was garbed in a- floor length gown of pink taffeta featuring a frilled neck yoke anis short sleeves above it gathered skirt. she wore a head - dregs of pink roses and blue corn- flowers. T.eonar'd Tong of Waterloo was best mat, Dinner was served to 25 guests at the Pines Inn. Bridgeport, at five o'clock and fol- lowed by a reception at 21 Erb St, Later the couple left on a two week wedding trip to Sudbury, the bride traveling in a brown wool gabar- dine snit with matching accessories. They will reside at 21 Erb St. W. Ape,, 3. . Among the- out-of'town guests present were: Mr. and Mrs.' Paul Lumatianen of Sudbury and Mr, and Mrs. Alfred Price of Sea - forth, aid. Sr., when tivo pipers and a drummer assisted with the service, tendering music dear to the heart ,of the deceased map, who, , in his earlier years had 'been a gifted player on the bagpipes. As the body was carried from the home, lot .8, concession 13, 'Hibbert township, the musicians connnenced to play their. funeral music, continuing until all the mourners had taken their placea. itt the funeral cortege. They then proceeded to Roy's Cemetery, and on arrival of the body piped the, slow march as it was carried to the grave- side. At the conclusion of the cont- mittal they rendered a quick starch. The funeral was one of the larg- est held in the community, relatives and friends being in attendance from. Mitchell, Dublin, Kirkton, Lon- don. Goderich, Stratford, Seaforth and surrounding, community. Beau- toful floral tributes also testified to the high regard in which the late Mr, MacDougald was held. The ser- vices were in charge of Rev. William Mair of Thames Road and Roys Church and Rev, F. G. Risdon, of Staffa 'United Church. Two hymns were sung in the home. The pall- bearers were three sons, Allan, Colin and John and three sons- in- law, Cameron McLean, Hugh Norris and Horace Salt. The flowers were carried by Mac Lamond, Neil La - mond, John Lamond, Donald Egner, Fred Egner, Howard McCurdy, Hec- tor McPhail and Hugh Dalrymple. HARLOCK 311'. Ross McEwing of Drayton tied .brother 31r. Percy McEwing of Detroit recently visited at the hone of their cousin, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. deEwing, We are very sorry to hear that little Curtis McDonald, grandson of Mrs. Tennie Knox, is in London Hos- pital from an 'accidental scald on tl'' chest, neck and face which has not healed properly. We hope the little fellow will soon be better and mile to get home. Master Tommy Lloyd Who was holidaying and helping at the hoiue of his grandparents, andparents, Mi': and Mrs. A, W. McEwing, has gone home to. Clinton -and his little sister Joan is now holidaying with her grandpar- ents. Donna anti Jean McVittie are at present holidaying at the hoose of their aunt and uncle Mi', and Mrs. James Scott, in Toronto. Mrs. Kerr of Toronto and Miss 'Maud MeVittie of Hespeler, have beet visiting at the home of Mrs. 5, McVittie and other friends. Master Jimmie Scott of Toronto is holidaying at the,home of his aunt and Uncle, MVlr. and Mrs. Leo Watt. Miss Jessie Watt recently holi- dayed with friends in Hamilton for a week. At a quiet ceremony in Bloor :St. United Church, Toronto, on Wednes- day afternoon, the marriage was 01- emnized of Lydia Elizabeth Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Bell of Blyth, and L.A.C. Vernon Ewart Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs, Vernon Hall, of Toronto. Rev. J. S. L. Mac- Donald officiated. Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore an afternoon dress of powder blue with large black picture hat and corsage of gardenias. Miss Betty Hall, sister of the groom was her attendant in a dusty pink frock with matching hat and corsage of roses. Cpl. Allan Fraser was best man. A small re- ception followed at the Royal York Hotel, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to Detroit. They will live in Toronto. We wish to ex- tend congratulations and best wishes for a long life of health, happiness and prosperity to the young couple. BAYFIELD 11Ir. Philip Rhynas, who has spent the last month with his grandmother. returned to his hone in Toronto on Saturday. Miss Mallard of Brantford is spend- ing her annual vacation in Bayfield and rendered a solo in 'Ibe Presbyter- ian Church on Sunday. Rev. T. Miss Josie Sterling, who has been confined to bed for the last 'six Months, is able fo be up again. Miss Sterling broke her hip in the early spring. Mr. Robt. McLeod and bride have arrived in Bayfield, Mr, McLeod haS served in the Canadian Navy for the past tour years and spent innchtime overseas and is the oldest sot of Capt. Louis McLeod, whose two other sons, John and Malcolm, have also returned after service in the Canad- ian navy... BRUCEFIELD • LAW.
