Class of the United 'Church was held
on Friday evening in the school -room
of the church with Ross Forrest pre-
siding, and opened by singing "0
Master let me walk with Thee" and
the Lord's prayer in unison, The
scripture, Psalm 121, was react by
Miss Elva McQeen. The devotional
was taken by Miss Violet McClynront.
The topic •A Neglected Classic"
was ably taken by Miss Gladys Luker.
It was decided to hold the class picnic
at Tur'nbull's Grove. on Wednesday,
June 27th, Anyone not having means
of transportation is aspect to contact

The Women's Institute held their
annual picnic on the spacious lawn
at the home of Mr. and lies. Albert
Shirray on Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. A. W. Kerslake and Mrs. Nor-

Mission Circle Picnic
The Mission Circle of the United
Church held its annual picnic at the
home of Miss Mattie Ellis on Wed-
nesday June 13, A picnic supper on
the lawn was much enjoyed by a
large representation of members
and invited guests, Miss Irene Doug-
las of London. a former superin-
tendent of the Mission Circle, gave
a splendid address on the work at
the Friendship House. Miss Barbara
Michie was in charge of the sports
and Miss Margaret Shepherd con-
ducted contests.
Mr, and Mrs. Gus -froth and Gwen-
dolyn of Detroit, are holidaying with
Mrs. Voth's mother, Mrs. Lou Simp-
son.
Rev, R, H. Williams of First Pres-
byterian Church Seaforth conducted
the Sacrament service i n Carmel
Presbyterian Church on Sunday
