day evening. The meeting was con-
ducted by the President, Mr. W. J.

The 20th Anniversary of Church
Union will he celebrated in Duff's
1-nited Church on Sunday June 10.
This anniversary also marks the be-
ginnin of the Crusade for Christ
and His Kingdom.

DUBLIN
A special dedication ceremony
took place at St. Mary's Anglican
Church on Sunday when a set of
silver candle holders was presented
to the church by a group of mem-
bers and friends of the congregation
in -memory of the late Mrs. Frank
Smith. Rev, C. F. L. Gilbert offici-
ated at the ceremony and paid a
suede] tribute to the late Mrs. Smith
who was such an energetic and
zealous church worker and so char-
itable
haritable and kind to everyone. Another
interesting feature of the service
was the baptists of Carolyn May,
infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Diehl, Logan Township.
The concluding services of the
Mission renewal conducted at St.
Patrick's Church by two Redempt-

Mrs. John R. Murdock of Bruce -
field, to Lieut. Stanley George Rum-
ble,
umhle, only son of Mrs. K. L. Ferris
and the late Mr. S, G. Rumble, of
Toronto. The ceremony was per-
formed by Capt. A, J, Milligan,
Chaplain of No. 24 Canadian Gen-
eral Hospital, and formerly of God-
erich, and Miss Pauline Cook of
Horley, presided at the organ. The
bride, wearing her dress uniform.
was given in marriage by her only
brother Sgt. Wm. N. Murdock R.C.
A.F., and was attended by N/S Kel
Littlewood, also in uniform. Both
wore corsages of cream orchids,
and the bride carried a white prayer
book with white ribbon streamers
knotted with white English violets.
The groom was supported by Major
H. Appleyard, formerly of Hamilton
and son of Canon Appleyard, former
Rector of St. Thomas Church, Sea -
forth„ The reception was held in
the Nurses' Lounge. where Matron
Rossitor received with the bridal
Party. The bride's table was centred
with a three tier wedding cake,
flanked by tall, pink candles nestled
in purple violets in crystal holders,
with violet posies at each corner of
the ttble,the other flower decors-
tions' being daffodils and tulips,
The usual toasts were proposed and
responded to, that to the bride being
proposed by Col, Oille, Command-
ing Officerof the station, And ably,
responded to by the groom. After a
short honeymoon both bride and
groom returned to their Units, The
bride is a graduate of St. Mary's
Hospital, Kitchener, aiid the groom,
of Toronto University.
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McCully of
Woodstock, spent a few days at the
home of Mr. McCully's father, 1V.ir.
Joseph McCully,
Mr. R. McKenzie and son and,
daughter of Detroit, visited at
the homes of Mrs, A. McKenzie and
Mrs, H. Zapfe, over the weekend,
Mrs. R. McKenzie is remaining for
another week with her mother. Mrs,
Zapfe.
Communion service will be held
here at the morning service on June

the previous Friday evening,

to Stratford General Hospital last
week where she -underwent an oper-
ation 601' appendicitis. We are glad
to heat' -she is doing as well as can
he expected,

The Helping' Hand Mission Band
of Cavell Church held their regular
meeting on May 26. The meeting
opened ny singing 614. Bible read-
ing was Laken by Harry. Johnston
followed by prayer by Lois Byer
mann. Hymn"The world's One neig-
bot°' was sung. The roll call showed
39 members present. •Offering was
taken by Dorothy Cuthill. Minutes
of last meeting were read and
adopted, after which the business
part of the meeting was taken by
Mrs, Hogg and the Study period by
Mrs. Dodds. Hymn 399 was sung.
followed by National Anthem,
Ganes were played and lunch was
served after which the benediction
was pronounced.
