Taylor. - Miss Margaret Sangster was in Detroit attending a wedding, Child Knocked Down By Auto— Margaret, three-year-old twin df.u- ghter of Mr. and Mrs, Alfred Smith, was knocked down by the auto as her father was backing out of the garage at their home on Thursday, The child was unconscious for some time and was treated at the office of Dr. D. G. Steer. Evidently the child had been playing ill the yard and ran behind the car unnoticed. St. Paul's Church Observes Anniversary_ St. Paul's Anglican Church wa beautifully decorated with summe flowers for their 67th anniversai Sera -ices. The special speakers wer Rev. E. S. Wells, B.A.; of Ails Craig and Rev. L. E. Harrison, B.A of Lucan, Miss Ethel Clark preside at the organ. The choir sang an an them entitled, "Exalt Ye the Lord. Mrs. Robinson, soloist. Mrs. Robe Dalrymple sang two solos "Whe the World Forgets." and "God Ha Not Promised." The evening caths was entitled "Be Joyful in God." Mrs. Lon Simpson is visiting with her son and daughter-in-law, Di and Mrs. Wm. Simpson in Detroit. The church was beauti- fully decorated for the occasion with iris, peonies, ferns and spina. 'Medley of Sacred Hymns" was softly played preceding the meeting, by the organist, Mrs. Elmore Keyes. IThe president, Mrs. Russell Erratt, very capably took charge of the I r'v 'n I meeting which as very well attend- . ed. The meeting opened with the singing of the national anthem and the use of hymn 4S$, after which the responsive Psalm was read Mrs. Elgin McKinley took the Scripture lesson after which Miss Hern led in prayer. Miss Pearl Gabel favored with a solo, "Behold a stranger at the door," with guitar accompani- ment. Miss Hern and Miss Rachael Johnston of Verna'sang a duet, "The Christ of the Cross," which was much appreciateii. Mrs. Lee McCon- nell played their accompaniment, .firs. H. V Workman of Seaforth, who was the gotiest speaker, brought a very detailed and most interesting report of the London , Conference Branch which was held at Strathrov in May. The Blake ladies chorus, accompanied by Mrs. E. Ste]cle, fav- ored with a number, "Let Jesus ; come into your heart," which was much eriioyed. Hymn 523 was then sung and the meeting closed with the benediction.
