Gerald Pass more'is overseas. Mrs. Pearce and son and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore of Mitchell visit- ed on Sunday with the former's brother and sister-in-law, lir. and Mrs. Claude Blowes. The Wohelo Class of the United Church S.S. will lneet on Friday, June 9th when a good attendance is requested. Miss Helen McNaughton of Tor- onto spent the week end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Lorne McNaughton. The Hensall United Church Miss- ion Circle will hold their annual pic- nic on the lovely grounds of Dr, and Mrs. Jas. Bell on Wednesday, June 14th. Mrs. H. Hyde will be co -hostess and the devotional will be taken by Mrs. P. McNaughton. Members and guests are requested to meet at the home of Mrs. Jack Traquair about 6 o'clock. Each member has privilege of inviting a guest. A pot luck sup- per will be provided by members. In case of rain Mrs. Traquair will open her home for the event. Rev. W. A. Beecroft, B, A.B.D., of Wingham, conducted the annivers- ary services which were largely at- tended, in . the United Church on Sunday, delivering inspiring dis- courses at both services. Mrs. Robt, Munn of Ripley was a recent visitor With Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Cross. Munn-Munn— The wedding' was solemnized at Central United Church, St. Thomas, on Saturday, June 3rd, of Dorothy Isobel, second daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Robt. Munn, Hensall, to Lieut. Gordon Thompson Munn, RCNVR, son of Mrs, -Munn and the late Robt. Munn, Ripley. Given in marriage by her father, the attractive bride chose a street -length frock of turquoise silk jersey with white accessories and carried American Beauty roses. Rev. E. J. Roulston officiated at the ceremony where only the immediate relatives were present. Later Lieut, and Mrs. Munn left on a trip to the Georgian Bay district. The bride will remain in London when the groom returns to sea duty. Jim Clark, RCNVR., St. Hyacinth, .Quebec, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Clark. Alda Bolton, Mr. and Mrs. Cordon Clemas of London, Miss Victoria Ballon of Toronto spent the week -end with their mother Mrs. Gordon Boston, who is ill. Me. and Mrs. Lee Oesch and family re- turned to St. Catharines after spending a pleasant holiday at the home of the latter's parents Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mousseeu. Born in Hensall, and educated here, he is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Hudson, His father, the late Joseph Hudson, was a veteran of World War I. He has a brother Max with the RCAF in England. The annual convention of the South Huron District Women's In- stitute, comprising the fallowing branches: Hensell, Ifippen, Huron - dale. Seaforth, Exeter, Zurich and Crediton. will be held in the United Church, Hensall, Tuesday, June 13, afternoon session only, starting at 1.15 sharp. A department speaker will address the ladies.
