Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Jas.
Moody in the passing of her husband
whose death occurred at their home
in Brucefield on Thursday morning,'
May 4th in his 82nd year. Mr.
Moody had not enjoyed the best of
health during the winter but had im-
proved and able to be about his
work as usual. On Monday morning,
May lst, he suffered a stroke from
which he did not rally, Mr. Moody
was a lifelong resident of Bruce -
field. He was a faithful member of
Brucefield United Church, of which
he was an elder. He also took a
great interest in the Bible Society
of which be was a life member. He
is survived by his widow, the form-
er Elizabeth Thomson. A private
service in the home was -followed by
a public service in,Brucefield United
Church on Saturday, May 6th. Bur-
ial was in Baird's cemetdry. The
pallbearers were Mr, Jarvis Horton,
Mr. Eyed Burdge,- Mr. Robert. Wat-
son, Mr. Jas. Boyce, Mr. Wm, Doug-
las and Mr. Ross Scott.

funeral of the late Mr. Jas. Moody.
Rev. Harold Snell of Auburn oc-
cupied the pulpit here at both ser-
vices at the Young People's anniv-
ersary last Sunday. The choir was
assisted by Mr. Donald Ross of Galt
in the maiming and Miss Hazel Din-
ing took the solo part in the anthem.
In the evening they were assisted by

Just a few lines in answer to your
letter dated March 28 which I re-
ceived today. Very glad to hear from
home, especially such quick service
as the news is still fresh. Most of the
letters take from three to five weeks
and this only took eight days. Glad
to hear the folks back home are fine
and well. Very glad you told me in sister. returning to their training
