Tho first meeting of the "McKillop
Centre," farms - forum, was held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs, Lid :Godkin
on Jan. 31st, There was a very good
attendance in spite of the stormy
night. After listening to the forum
broadcast, the meeting was divided
into three groups for discussion of
the questions with Mr. Russell Bolton
as chairman. The rest of the evening
was spent playing bingo. Lunch was
served. A very enjoyable and profit-
able evening was spent by all.
The second meeting of the "Mc-
Killop Centro" farm forum was -held
at the home of Mr, and Mrs, Stanley
Hillen on Monday evening, Feb, 7th,
with an attendance of 24 adults and.
ten children, Mr. Stanley Bitten was
chairman for the evening. After list-
ening to the farm broadcast, the
meeting was divided into four groups.
The reports Of each group were read
and discussion followed, The subject.
of the evening was "The Church and
the Rural Community." Arrangements
were made for the next meeting.
The remainder of the evening was
spent playing progressive egghre.
Lunch was served and a social time
enjoyed by all.

spent the week end with his parents,

Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Diegel, Mrs.
S. Collins, Mr, and Mrs. John C.
Diegel, spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Don Markle in Woodstock.
Mr, Chas. Leonhardt had a very.
successful sale on Wednesday of last
week.
The Brodhagen Band sponsored
n euchre and dance in Hinz's hall on
Tuesday evening. hock's orchestra of
Gowanstown furnished the music.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hinz of Kit-
chener sponsored the Golden Flour
broadcast of St. Matthew's Lutheran
Church, Kitchener. Sunday morning
on the occasion of their 42nd wed-
ding anniversary on Friday, Feb. 11.
Mr. and Mrs. Hinz were former res-
idents of this district.
The Patriotic Society held their
monthly meeting at the home of
Mrs. Geo. Mogk with Mrs. Dalton
Hinz, president, presiding. Several
euilts were quilted and a pot luck
supper was enjoyed.

her Parents, Mr. and Mrs. John G.
Hinz.
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Querengesser
received a cablegram of good wishes
from their 'son, Pte. Howard J.
Querengesser, overseas, on Monday

of the Woman's Association

month of January with the exception
of Tan. 3. These meetings were well
attended and had some very lively
discussions. During the month of
February the rural youth will be dis-
cussed, also planning for total living.
On Monday of this week the group
met at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Charlie Eyre. There was a lively dis-
cussion in connection with the
churches serving the rural district
and the rural youth problem. A social
time was spent in cards, after which
lunch was served. A vote of thanks
was tendered the host and hostess.
The next meeting will be at the
home of Mr, and Mrs. James Finlay-
son on Monday evening next. The
meeting closed by singing the nation-
al, anthem.
