Audrey Walsh is holidaying at the
home of her grandmother at Blyth.
Mr. and. Mrs. John M. Glenn en-
joyed a pleasant holiday in Detroit.
Group 2 of the Ladies' gid of Car-
mel Presbyterian Church held a most
successful home baking sale aiid lawn
tea at the home of Mrs, Lorne Luker
on Saturday.
Miss Caroline Parham. of Windsor
is spending the summer holidays at
the home of her grandparents, Mr.
and Ml's. John Fisher.
Mrs. Harris returned home after
spending a few days at the home of
her son and daughter-in-law, Mr, and
Mrs. Percy Harris.
Billie. Fink and Bobbie Baynham.
are spending ten days at the Presby-
terian Camp for boys at Kintail.
Mr. and. Mrs. E. A. McAsb, Mrs. 1).
Munshaw, London, Dr. J. McAsh, In-
nerkip, called on Miss Mary McAsh
and Miss Violet McClymont on July 1.
They were joined later by Mr. and
Mr's. J. J. Richardson andenjoyed a
family picnic at Bayfield.
The Women's Missionary Society of
the Hensen United Church met on
Thursday, July 3rd at 3 p..m..on the
church lawn. The meeting opened
with the president Mrs. W. B. Cross
in the chair, and reading the beautiful.
hymn 'o Jesus I Have Promised" in
unison, followed by the Lord's pray-
er. Miss Annie Consitt took the devo-
tional from Psalm 23 and Mrs. R. A.
Brook led in prayer. The roll call was
answered by 9 members and a visitor
present. The study book chapter was
then presented and enjoyed by all.'
The offering was received followed by
the Mizpah benediction. Mrs.. E, L.
Mickle had charge of the following
games: Kick the slipper, Miss lriolet
ldeClymont, needle and tread race,'
Mrs Cross and Mrs. Sherritt, potato
race._Mrs. Blatchford, throwing the/
ball Mrs. Manus. Prize for the oldest
member, Mrs. Laramie. The ladies
then sat down to a delicious picnic
supper, the tables being most beauti-
fully decorated with red roses by
Mrs. E. L. Mickle. The W.M.S. ladies
wish to thank Mrs. Mickle for her
work in making the picnic such a
splendid success.
DUBLIN
Dublin Creamery and Poultry
Packers, since the disastrous fire in
May, 1946, have enlarged their plant
and have installed the most up -to-'
date machinery and modern -facili-
ties for the handling of their pro-
duce. The plant has a frontage of 40
feet with a depth of 130 feet and 21
employees are on the payroll. The
poultry killing section has been com-
pletely re-modled and facilities for
the killing, plucking and dressing
birds to a maximum of 1700 birds
per day are in operation.
A registered egg -grading plant
has been installed which handles
ever-increasing numbers of crates
pf eggs daily. 170 cold storage lock-
ers are supplying convenience to sat-
isfied customer's.
The popular manager also records
a largo croup of cream patrons. the

A family lily reunion was held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs, Stephen Mur-
ray, McKiilou Township .n honor of
Mrs. Louise Murray, who celebrated
78th birthday on July 2. All the
^+embers of her family were present
with the exception of her son, John
Murray. Beverly Hills, Calif., who
telephoned his greetings during the
evening and spoke to his mother and
each of his brothers and sisters, The
:rob t able was centred by a large
'Happy Birthday' cake, and a pleas-
ant feature of the occasion was a
sing -song under the direction of Mrs.
Frank Evans and Mrs. Joseph E.
Melady. Mrs. Murray was the recipi-
ent of numerous appropriate gifts
and made an interesting presenta-
tion of a pair of mittens to each of
her grandchildren, which were het
own handwork, being especially pro-
ficient in the art of knitting. She has
six sons, Thomas Michael. Matthew
and Stephen of McKillop; Leo of St.
Columban, and John, Beverly Hills,
Calif., also four daughters: Mrs.
Frank Evans, I(Cainilla) Dublin;
Mrs. Wilfred Maloney. (Elizabeth)
Mrs. Wilfred O'Rourke, (Helen)
both of McKillop, Mrs. Joseph F.
Melady, (Marie) of Hibbert town-
ship and 26 grandchildren. Mrs.
Murray, who enjoys excellent health
makes her home with her son, Ste-
phen, in McKillop township.

tained at a family dinner at their
home in honor of their 30th wed-
ding anniversary on Thursday, July
3. Dinner was served on the lawn
and a special guest was Mrs. Flynn's
mother, Mrs. Barbara Holland, who
is, in her 84th year; Mrs. Flynn's
sister, Mother M. Stephanie, L'rsu-
line Community. Windsor„ was also
present. Messages of congratulations
were received from the other mem-
bers of the Holland family .at Wind-
sor, who were unable to he present
Following the after-dinner toasts
a cup and saucer shower was pre-
sented to the honored guests on be-
half of those present. The biide-
groom and bride of 1017 graciously
expressed their thanks and a special
evening followed.
