On instructions from the Council I hereby
proclaim that no dog$ shall be allowed to run at
large in the Town of Seaforth during the months
of May, June, July and August.
Under authority 'of By -Law #111 for the
Town of Seaforth any dogs so found running at
large contrary to this Proclamation shall be liable
to be killed and the owner or harbourer pros-
ecuted.

The Tuekersnrith Ladies Club held
their July meeting at Mrs. Ray Fear's
with a grand attendance of 19 mem-
bers, 15 visitors and 16 children. Mrs,
Slonian gave the Club an idea of
what clothing was needed for the
north. Mrs. H. Johns suggested we
send some material for children's
clothing ot t he north and 1VIra Law-
son seconded it. Mrs. Wm. Pepper
made a suggestion that we hivr a
social evening or picnic at tho school.

A. Pepper made a notion the Club
send occaeienal boxes to James Car-
noclran at Westminster Hospital.

Group 1 is in charge of cleaning the
church for July. Group 2 for August.
Group 3 for September. Mr's. Walters
gave a reading and Gladys Pepper an
instrumental. The meeting i''ised
with singing "0 Canada": Everybody
enjoyed sports and a delicious lunch
on the Lawn. The August meeting will
be held at Mrs. Ed Johns, Seaforth.

DUBLIN
A highly respected resident of
Dublin, hiss Jennie O'Connell, died
at her home on John St. on Tuesday
following a prolonged illness. She
was the daughter of the late Mr.
and ;NIrs. Bernard O'Connell and
spent the greater part of her life in
Seaforth, having resided in Dublin
during the pant eight years. She was
a faithful member of St. Patrick's
Church, Dublin, and of the Altar So-
ciety. She is survived by four sisters
hiss Margaret O'Connell, Buffalo,
N.Y., Miss Katharine, London, Miss
Molly and Mrs. Elizabeth Bruxer,
Dublin', also two brothers, John of
Davenport, Iowa, and Joseph of
Dublin. The funeral will be held
from her tate residence on John St.
to St. Patriek's Church, Dublin, on
Friday at 9:30 a.m. with interment
at St. James' cemetery, Seaforth.
Logan School Entrance Pupil Gets
Highest Marks,
The following successful entrance
candidates, all pupils of Miss Angela
O'Reilly, will receive certificates,
Jean Broughton, Leslie Davidson,
Lloyd Davidson, Edwin Illman and
Louis Scholl, the last named gaining
the distinction of obtaining the high-
est number of narks of all the en-
trance 'candidates writing at the
Mitchell centre this year.
Picnic Held At S.S. #11, Logan
A large number of parents and
friends enjoyed the annual picnic at
S.S. #11, Logan. The teacher, Miss
M. A. O'Reilly, supervised a variety
of sports activities in which every-
one participated. William Morris of
Staffa was umpire for a senior soft-
ball game. During the afternoon,
Mrs. Henry Davidson, president of
the Khuryville. Women's Institute,
presented a wall plaque to Miss 0'-
Reilly.in appreciation of the part
taken by the teacher .and pupils in
the program at the W.I. picnic this
year. Following the sports everyone
gathered in the schoolroom where
refreshments were served.
