Grey township, of Bessie Robertson,. beloved wife of the late John R. Oliverin her 86th year. The deceased was born on the 9th con. of Grey, April 17th, 1861, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, Thos. Robertson.. She was married to her late Husband 53 years ago, who uredeceased her by four years. She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Francis- Schram, Camlachie, Mrs: George- McArthur, Morris; twp., and one son Leslie of Grey; one sister also survives Mr's. Jessie Sweeney and •one brother, Donald, both of Camlachie. Funeral was conducted Saturday, March 1, by her pastor, Rev. G. Hazlewood of Duff's United Church, Walton. Interment was made in Brussels cemetery. Pallbearers were Messrs. Wm.' Knox, Andrew Turn- bull, Jaynes Smith, Wm. Turnbull, Bert Johnson, and Rae Houston. The flowers were beautiful consist- ing of Pillow from the family Sheaf, the neighbors Sheaf, W.M.S. Sheaf, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Warwick, Brus- sels, Olivers and Laings of Shake- speare, Spray, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dunlop and Peter, Spray, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Dale and family. KIPPEN Mrs Elmore Gackstetter and family of Dashwood visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gackstetter. Mr. Gerald Parsons who spent last. week with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. Linden of Denfield, has returned hone. Mr, and Mrs. Harold Jones visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Gor-� don Westlake of Bayfield. We are sorry to report Mrs.' James McClyanont is confined to her, room thru illness. We wish her a speedy recovery. Three of our prominent farmers became low in supplies, with roads blocked were somewhat baffled as to how to make their way to a nearby town. However they gained courage and set out with their teams and sleighs going thru fields, barn yards and were even 'obliged to drive thru one man's implement .shed,, also ask each farmer the route to the next farm and after going many miles out of their way finally reached town.
