SMITH -CAMPBELL A quiet wedding was solemnized at Carmel Presbyterian Manse, Hen - sail on Saturday :when Rev. P. A. Ferguson united in marriage Luella Doreen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Campbell, Hay, and Leonard Nelson Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith, Centralia. The bride chose a street length frock of blue crepe with a corsage of white car- nations. She was attended by Miss Marjory Smith, sister of the groom Mr. Harold Campbell was best man, A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony. Mrs. Gerald Campbell and Mrs. Roy Campbell served. The bride and groom will reside on the groom's farm at Centralia. The Girl's Dance Club are spon- soring their Xmas dance in the Town hall, Hensel', on Friday, Dec. 20. Music by the Casa Royal Orchestra, London. The annual Sunday School con- cert will be held in Carmel Church on Friday evening. Dec. 20th at 8 p.m. Christmas services in Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall were largely attended on Sunday and were conducted by Rev. P. A. Fer- guson, who gave an inspiring dis- course on the subject "A Child Is Born." Choir sang an anthem "The Nativity Song." Mrs. J. Cairns sang a -solo entitled "The Shepherd's Vi- sions" and Rev. R. H. Sanderson contributed a pleasing solo entitled "The Holy City". The evening ser- vice took the form of a carol service. A children's chorus presented carols and the choir sang an anthem 'Sing In Memoriam BARRON - In loving memory of ourgrandmother, grandmother, Mrs, Elizabeth Barron, who passed away one year ago, December 24, 1945.
