More Land Required
Huron County Council is asking the
town of Goderich to grant additional
land in Court. House Park for the new
county building proposed to be erect-
ed. The request is for twenty feet
north and south and forty feet east
and west, which means twenty in all
one way and forty feet in all the
other way. The request in a letter
from the county stated that public
rest rooms would be provided in the
new building if the town would as-
sume maintenance of the rooms. The
Goderich town council also had a
letter from Mr. J. K. Hunter, barris-
ter, stating that he had investigated
the title to the Square and found that
it hadbeen granted to the town by
the Canada Company as a market
square. He was intormed, Mr. Hunter
further' stated, that an Act of Parlia-
ment was .passed in 1855 validating a
grant of land to the United Counties
of Huron and Bruce for the Court
House site, but he had been unable to
find this Act. It was his opinion that
il' the Town wished to transfer fur-
ther land to the county a similar Act
of Parliament would be necessary.
Scientific Evidence Man Has A Soul
