lett of Walton for the past three
weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm Baker and

lett. Walton, for a week.
MissCharlene Corlett arrived

The regular monthly meeting of
Duff's Church W.M.S. was held Aug.

FUNERAL OF MRS. MELADY
Mrs, Mary Melady died at the home
of her sister, Miss Eleanor Mulcahy,
George st., after a long illness. She
was predeceased by her husband in
1946. Mrs. Melady, the former Mary
Mulcahy, was born in Hibbert town-
ship and with the exception of eight
years spent in the United States lived
in Hibbert and Seaforth all her life,
She was a member of St, James' Ro-
man Catholic Church, and a member
of the Catholic Women's League, the
Altar Society and the League of
Sacred Hearts. Surviving is one sister
Eleanor Mulcahy, of town. The fune-
ral service was held at St, James'
Church on Thursday. Interment in St.
James' cemetery, The pall bearers
were James Hagan, Charles Hagan,
August Ducharme, Owen Reynolds,
John McQuaid and James Jones.
Relatives attending from a distance
were Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Melady,.
Toronto, Mr, and Mrs. John Melady,
James Melady, Detroit; Miss Keat-
ings, Toronto. Requiem mass was cel-
ebrated by Itev. T. P. Hussey.

Me. and Mrs. Sid Castle of Simcoe
are visiting Mr. Jack Castle.
Kenneth Castle, who has served six
years in the merchant marine, arriv-
ed home from England accompanied
by hiswifeand two sons,
Barbara Morley visited the Misses
Morley over last week end.
The sympathy of the entire com-
munity is extended to the family of
the late Ford King, who passed away
in Toronto last week. Ford, as he was
familiarly known about town, was a
clever, progressive young man who
had attained to a prominent position.
Isis demise is greatly regretted by all
who knew him,
Mr. F. Jennings visited his sister,
Mrs. Gerald Churchward last week
end.
Mr. and Mrs. Lambert of Dearborn
are occupying their summer home for
a brief vacation.

Rev. Hinton is improving slowly,
but still confined to his room.
Howard Clark of Winona spent a
few days with friends in this locality.
Mr. and Mrs. White from Manitoba
are spending a few weeks with Mr,
and Mrs. Thos. Kay.

ding anniversary a few weeks in ad-
vance, They will have been married

around. At the golden wedding cele-
bration Mr, and Mrs. Byers, who' live

grandchildren, and great-grandchild-
ren. The celebration was held at the
home of their daughter, .Mrs.,Ernest
Ratlscheidt, Dublin. The .children pre-
sented their mother, who is now 66,
