The meeting closed with the pronouncing of the benedietiou. FUNERAL OF MRS. MELADY Mrs, Mary Melady died at the home of her sister, Miss Eleanor Mulcahy, George st., after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband in 1946. Mrs. Melady, the former Mary Mulcahy, was born in Hibbert town- ship and with the exception of eight years spent in the United States lived in Hibbert and Seaforth all her life, She was a member of St, James' Ro- man Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Women's League, the Altar Society and the League of Sacred Hearts. Surviving is one sister Eleanor Mulcahy, of town. The fune- ral service was held at St, James' Church on Thursday. Interment in St. James' cemetery, The pall bearers were James Hagan, Charles Hagan, August Ducharme, Owen Reynolds, John McQuaid and James Jones. Relatives attending from a distance were Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Melady,. Toronto, Mr, and Mrs. John Melady, James Melady, Detroit; Miss Keat- ings, Toronto. Requiem mass was cel- ebrated by Itev. T. P. Kenneth Castle, who has served six years in the merchant marine, arriv- ed home from England accompanied by hiswifeand two sons, Barbara Morley visited the Misses Morley over last week end. The sympathy of the entire com- munity is extended to the family of the late Ford King, who passed away in Toronto last week. Ford, as he was familiarly known about town, was a clever, progressive young man who had attained to a prominent position. Isis demise is greatly regretted by all who knew him, Mr. F. Jennings visited his sister, Mrs. Gerald Churchward last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert of Dearborn are occupying their summer home for a brief vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Little and family 62 Brantford are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thom. Mr. Peter Tillmann is visiting at the Tiiiniann cottage. Elgie visited with friends in Waterloo over the week end. Rev. Hinton is improving slowly, but still confined to his room. Howard Clark of Winona spent a few days with friends in this locality.
