Cook, Mrs, Edgar Butt, of Egmondville ie visiting with Mrs, Alda Simmons this week; Miss Dora O'Lair is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Steep, near Goder- ich. Mr. T. C. Joynt and son Carey spent a few days recently at M'dni- toulin Island. Mrs. H. Joynt and daughter Jud- ith, of London, are guests at the home of Mrs. Alice Joynt. The Wohelo Class of the 'Hensel] United Church will meet in the Sun- day School on. Friday evening June 14th. All . members are urged to attend. Plans will be made for the annual class picnic. Miss Martha Heideman who has spent the past several months at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. E. Hemphill, 'left for her home in Zur- ich ugich this week prior to taking an ex- tended trip to Western Canada, Mr. Charles Moore who operates a machine shop here received severe burns on the side of his body and arm and suffered greatly from shock, when a new aceylene tank, which was being set up, exploded. He was attended by Dr. J. C. God- dard and rushed to Scott Memorial. Hospital, Seaforth. Miss Goldie Cross R. N. of Lon- don visited recently with her par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Cross. Mr. and. Mrs. Jas. Parkins spent the weekend, visiting with members of their family in London. The many friends of Mr. Dave Kyle are pleased to see him out after his recent operation. Mr. Harold Bell was able to re- turn to his hone on Sunday follow- ing an operation for appendicitis in Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth. Mr, and firs. Alfred Hunkin of Thames Road visited recently with Mi, and Mrs. Glenn Bell. CONSTANCE Mr. and Mrs. Er>rest Adams, Miss Ilenolda Adams , and Mr, and Mrs. Ii -iso Adams were guests with Mr. and Mrs. John Mills and Miss Eliza- beth Mills and Mrs, Louise Anderson, Blyth. The Adams family held their an - anal picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Adams, Monday, June 3rd. Their father, who is 84 years old, was present, 43 being present. The afternoon was spent in baseball, tug of war and other games. A dainty lunch was served. Miss Elizabeth Mains, Londesboro and Mrs. Harvey wells, Blyth, were present; also Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
