The funeral was held from her late residence, W. William st., on Tuesday, May 7, at 9.10 a.m., to St. James' Church, thence to St. James' cemetery, McMILLAN--In Hibbert on April 80, Mary Hastings, beloved wife of the late Miles McMillan, in her 85th year. The funeral took place from her late residence, lot. 22, con. 6, Htbbert, on May 3rd, to St. Colum. ban Church, thence to St. Columban cemetery, HARLOCK Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Knorr and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Knox in Kitchener. The Ladies Aid and W.M.S. of Burns' United Church held their May meeting in the church also quilting a quilt on Wednesday afternoon of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Rapson, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Gibbings, Shen and Douglas, of near Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hoggarth, Ivan and Ross of near Summerhill and Mrs. Annie Brown, of Clinton, spent Sunday afternoon and for tea at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Towns- end in Seaforth. Master Donald Watt likes the work at the School of Commerce in Clinton. Mrs. Watson Reid, teacher at No. 11 Hullett and Mrs. Arthur Colson, teacher at No. 7 were quite busy most of last week attending the Music Festival held in Goderich, as quite a number of their pupils took part in the Festival. The children of No. 11, although not receiving any of the prizes, took good marks and this 'being their first year at the Festival, deserve credit. No, 7, Mullett, pupils of Mrs, Art Colson, who on Tuesday won the Huron County Shield at the recent Music Festival on Goderich for the Unison Chorus group. Special mention also to Jessie Watt of No. 7, Hullett, who, in the girls' solo group, won third place, on Tuesday, in a class of 31 entries.
