Hanna, of town, id all their children, met at the home Mrs, Annie Reid, to enjoy a merry gathering around a heavily laden Christmas tree on 'Monday: McKILLOP, Death of John Boyd. -A lifelong and highly respected resident passed' away on Friday last in the person of Mr. John Boyd, after a three weeks' illness with scarlet fever, Mr. Boyd was horn on lot 14, con. 10, son of the late Anthony Boyd, 53 years.ago, and had resided across the road on con, 11 the. -greater part of his life. Twenty-six years ago he was married to Miss Belle Learning, who survives, together with two sons, John and William, at home. He also leaves four brothers and five sisters: Robert, of Seaforth; Mrs, Albert Dundas,. Seaforth; David :• Boyd, McKillop; Mrs. Albert Godkin, McKillop Mrs. Edward Godkin, Regina, Sask Mrs. Alex. Godkin, of Alberta; Mrs. Me - Lean, of Vancouver; Thomas Boyd, Los Angeles; Albert Boyd, Saskatche- wan, Another sister, Mrs. ,John Fin- layson, died a number of years ago. The funeral took place Christmas Day. to the Maitland Batik cemetery, ser- vice being conducted by Rev. W. W. Maines, of Walton. Mr. Boyd was a member of Cavell Church, Winthrop.
