Kruse Biros,, Egmondville, have
purchased the unoccupied store on
the side of Egmondville hill, owned
by lh•. Leach, now of 'London. They
are moving it to the northeast corner
of the side street on which they are
now located and will open a flour and
feed story in the near future. The
buildntg was used for a number of
years as a grocery stand,
'eft.. Thos. Grieve is erecting a new
garage on his pian in Egmondville.
Mrs. Thos. Grieve is visiting her
son, Mr. Harry Grieve, in Windsor.

Your correspondent is sorry to re-
port the sudden illness of little Wal-
ter Johnston, who was rushed to
Seaforth Hospital on Saturday to
undergo an operation for appendicitis
and at bine of writing, though not
out of clanger, is doing as well as tan
be expected and we trust he will soon
be restored to sound health.

Mr. Fred. Eckert met with a pati
ful accident while drawing in titan -
golds with a maniere spreader. The
crank slipped off -letting him fall
against the spreader, bet no serious
results were caused.

The Council met on Oct, 17th with
all members present. Minutes of last.
meeting read and adopted, Orders
were issued on the Treasurer amount-
ing to $961.55. The resignation of
Mrs, Bragg as caretaker of the Town-
ship Hall was accepted and H, 'Gold-
ing appointed for the balance of the
year. The Coyne !Drain 13y -Lary was
read a third time and finally passed.
In response to a communication from
the Town of Mitchell the Reeve and
Councillor Harper were appointed a
committee to attend a meeting on the
19th of November. It is announced
that the business fo' c m.idcration will
be the discussion of the advisability,
ways and means of the procuring
public rest roost in Mitchell for the ec-
coinntorlatloat and comfort of the resi-
dents of the' surrounding .townships,
Council then adjourned to meet again
on Monday, the 21st day of November
all o'clock p.m.

Sertiee here was withdrawn Sun-
day night to give the people an op
portunity to attend the Kippen an-
niversary. Church and Sunday school
room there were filled to overflowing
and some were unable to get in. ,

on account of an outbreak of
scarlet fever. There are two cases in

Rev. Mr. McIntosh. of Embro, a for-
mer pastor, will be the special speaker
for the day. On Monday evening foI-
lowing a concert is being put 00 un-
der the auspices of the choir. The
chief entertainers are Miss Bernice
Shaw, elocutionist..Bluevafe. and Mr.
H. McGee, impersonator of Harry
Lauder, from Auburn. They will be
assisted by 'local talent.

sorry to know they have scarlet fever.
