WALTON. ,(Intended for last week,) During the absence of 'Rev. Mr, Barker the first two Sundays of April, Rev. Dr. Brown occupied the pulpit of 'Brussels United Church and was much appreci'a'ted. Dr. and 'Mrs. Brown were invited guests at the reception tendered Rev. Mr, 'Barker and bride by the congregation on Friday evening, April 15th. The event was a very happy one. After congratulations, a beautifully worded address was read 'by Mr, hoover to (Rev. and Mrs, Barker and Mrs. Bark- er was presented with a magnificent bouquet of red roses. The tables were centered with bouquets 'of tulips, narcissus, daffodils, pussy •willows and Easter lilies, and a banquet of good 'things 'was served to the large number present. Very favorable re- ports of the different organizations of the church were given, taking the form of an annual. meeting.
