Benjamin Morritt.---On • Tuesday., April '12th, 'Benjamin Merritt, passed away at the age of 69. He came to Canada (from ;13ann'by Moore,;village, Yorkshire, !England,. when about 2'3 years old, settling siear Parkhill, grid later near .Brucefield, where he lived until the time of his marriage six wears later, At tate time of his. inar- riage to Annie Fraser, Hullei't, 40 years ago, he settled on Mrs,,,, Mor- ritt'•s home farm on the boundary be- tween Morris. and •Hallett townships, neat' Blyth.
