Though only 18 years of age, he, had, during his short life, won the' highest regard of everyone who knew him, ,for he'daily exemplified in 'his Life a noble, generous nature and his death is •a great l'oss, it'ot only to those near. •es't and dearest, but also to the ;whole commu'uity where he. was •a general favorite and beloved, by all for his bright and: kindly disposition. Miss Elizabeth Cameron, who resides with her father, who is 37 years of age, was coming out of the house to go clown town when she noticed the fire in the upper part of the barn, and quickly got some hens out and gave the alarm.
