ter from a friend -of hii, .Mr. Arnold
Entmer, who used to live in Logan,
but now resides near 1Bulyea, Sask.,
stating that they had had very cold
weather before •Christmas -45 below
zero and that some of his neighbors
bad frozen to death.

ting the timber home for the erection
of a new driving shed.

• The annual meetims of the Huron
Plowmen's ;Association was held in
Brussels, with . 'President R. L. 'Mc
Donald occupying the• chair. - and he
reviewed the activities of the Plow-
then's Association, telling Of the
progress it has inade ' in the -three
years of -its existence ,and of the
great help •the Association has 'been
to the young plow boys of, Hams.
At first there Were only 11 competi-
tors' with teams and 2 tractors. Th -is
year there were 20 teams and 6 trac-
tors. The annual report of the 'Sec-
retary treasurer followed and then
-the auditors' report. This report was
received with a cheer front ;the ,crowd
showing that the balance was cm 'the
right -side of the ledger. Notwith:
standing the fact that :the Associatipm
ha's paid out $1192.65 in the -last three
years, it still had a balance on Dec.
