ed the sad news on :Mon clay evening
of the 'death of their 11 -year-old
'granddaughter, 'Ruth Geiger, in Lon-
don. '.Ruth was up taking her music
;lesson on the third floor of the Mason
& 'Risch Co. building and when fin-
ished her lesson used the freight ele-
vator of the 'building to descend to
the ground floor and her body -be-
came caught 'between the elevator
and flooring as the elevator ascended.
She was wedged so tightly in the nar-
row space that it was necessary for a
section of the city fire department to
cut away a portion of the flooring to
permit i t extrac ation of the remains.
