• The box social in S. S. No. 7 Tuck-
ersmith last Ffiday evening was a
great success. The school was full
of people of all ages from the Kind-
ergarten age on to the old captain.
Mr. 1Vm, Black in the chair gave the
kiddies an address on "Our Inherit-
ance." The school provided a very
good program, assisted by talent
from Seaforth and Goderich. Our
own Mr. Boyes' clog was mighty
well done. Then came the selling of
the lunch -boxes. They were all
very tasty inside and out, but "the
little house" and the "Kettle from the
Crane" are deserving of special
mention, The kettle was a• work of
art. A nice little hop after luncheon
was enjoyed. .

Accident.—Mr. Theodore Dale, of
the 2nd concession met with a pain-
ful accident last week. While leading
a bull out to water, the animal be-
came vicious, knocking • him down
,and breaking several ribs, We hope
he will soon recover.

The, Ladies' Aid of Burns' church
will hold their monthly meeting at
the home of Mrs. P. McDonald on
Thursday of this week. A large at-
tendande is hoped for.
The U. F. O. of this community are
holding their annual oyster supper
in Londesboro Hall on Friday even-
ing of this week. A good programme
is being prepared and a pleasant
evening is anticipated.
