There are a number of bai'l'ing orators in the St alta district who spoke at the public spealcing contest. Several of the contestants would put lots of political candidates .to shame, and the winner, Miss Elsie Ritchie, was especially brilliant: The iudge of the poultry, after mak- ing his awards, explained to the gath- ering Inc reasons for making certain awards, and pointing not defects in Other birds which barred them front a prize, c.
