Municipal Council of the Town of
Seaforth, it is fitting and proper for
the said Town tb 't:J•ect a suitable
\lointment in honour of the Soldiers

Seaforth, who made the su-
preme sacrifice iu the Great War and
fir that purpose it is necessaryto
raise by way of loan, on the credit of
the Totvrt, the sunt of $60011.00,
AND WHEREAS it is expedient
to raise iho said sent of S6tl0i),00, by
the issue of debentures at one time -
and to make the debt repayaibie in
yearly stets daring a period of fifteen
115, year,, being the currency of
slush debentures. said yearly sums be-
ing of inch respective amounts that
the aggregate amount payable in each
year for prinicpal and interest in res-
pect of said debt shall be, as nearly
as. possible. equal to the amount so
payable in each of the other fourteen
(14) years.
AND WHEREAS it will be neccs-
to raise annually the sunt of $507.75,
bitting the periost of fifteen (15)
years. to pay the said yearly suns of
prinicipal and interest as they be-
come payable respectively, according
to the terms of this by-law.
AND WHEREAS in order thereto
it will he necessary to issue debeu
tures of said Municipality for the
slim of $8966,25 as hereinafter pro-
vided (which is the amount vii the
debt intended to be created by this
by-law) the proceeds of the said de-
bentures to be applied to the purpos-
es aforesaid and to no other.
AND WHEREAS the amount of
the whole rateable property of the
said Municipality, according to the
last revised assessment roll is
$843,922.00
AND
the WHEREAS amount tt t

the existing debenture debt of the
said Municipality,
inclusive of local
innprovenlent debts secured by spec-
ial rates or assessments. is $198,097.08
Whereon there is no shot ill arrears
for either principal or interest.
THEREFORE the Municipal
Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Seaforth enacts as follows:
1. That for the purposes aforesaid
there shall be borrowed on the credit
of the Corporation at large the .stunt
of $6000.00 and for the purpose of
raising the said sunt of $6000,00 and
paying the interest thereon, at the
rate of five and One half f5 5r) per
tent per annum, for the period of .tif-
teen (151 years as hereinafter and here
iubefore specified, debentures of the
said Corporation to the amount of
$8966?5, in sums of not less than
$1110.00, shall be issued, which said
debentures shall all be issued at one
time and (fated on the day of the is-
sue thereof and shall be payable in
equal amotitits iii each of the fifteen
(15) stieccsslve years, on the 1+'ifteeu-"
th (15th) day of October in each and
every, year of said term, at The
Dominion Bank, at Seaforth, Ontario,
such amounts being made tip of the
aggregate auni:due in each year for
