was born in Lincolnshire, England
1 and came to this country with his
parents who settlers in the County. of
Huron, taking up land at what was

reaching manhood he entered hter-
cantile life and for eighteen years he
conducted a successful general store
business at arutow where he was also
postmaster and cleric of Kincardine
- Township for many years. Afterward

then in Kincardine where he was un=
til four years ago when he unlovedI

cheerful and sympathetic disposition
