M;INSITERS' CONCERT
The idea of having a concert whose

the ministers of Seaforth and vicinity
wa8 a happy one. It night appear to
some that aural grave and reverend eon;

Toronto Letter
Dear Newe—
1 had the pleasure of hearing Prem-
ier Hearst introduce a very important
measure in the House of Parliament,
the other day, this being a bill to give
women the right to become members
of the Ontario Legislature, as well as
members of Township Oounoile and
Schools Boards in aountry pieties. The
Premier's remarks had the approval of
needy all the members on both sides,
McDonald of North Bruce, who is a
great joker, although not nearly as
young as he used to be, laid in hie
claim to have the 6ret lady elected as
his desk mate, The sex which has
given the Empire a Greco Darling, a
Florence Nightingale, a Laura Second
and the martyred ]chill Cavell, 'anti
the hundreds of roses of no man's land
not forgetting the thousands of noble
women, whoaprompted by .kimono and
patriotic motives, hltvo made ae many
sacrifices and dont) so much to keep
the Empire 'groat -during rho last four
or five years, have cottainly among
their numbers those who are gnslited
and well fitted to occupy any position
in the land. 'These are my own views
ofwhioh 1 challenge contradiction.
However it is being voiced around that
lady voters will not support one of their
number. That would not be nice of
them. But time will tell, and it wil
not be long to watt ati there will be an
election before long. Both parties are
making preparations here.
There was an unfortunate unpleasant
Hess hero on 'Friday afternoon last.
The W, C. T, [I', bold a tag -day to raise

rushee to make 'an addition to the
Frances Williard home 'for girls. It
appears that some of the nlombers at
some time or other objected to sending
cigarettes to the soldiers overseas and
the soldiers here got buclf at them on
tag-dag, and made a number who were
tagged give rip the emblet , They also
threatened to take the bo. s from the

It would have beenbetter'if the soldiers

where soldiers were most in evidence.
