School Picnic. --A very enjoyable
afternoon was spent at the school
grounds of ,SS. No. 2, Tucker rnith,
on Friday, June 30th, when the par-
ents and children gathered to hold a
picnic. After the reports of the pro-
motion examinations had been given
out all repaired to the grounds where
a good programme of races and sports

daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. ,Eckel
became the bride of Dr. Carxxtan Hun-
ter Haugh, son of Mr. and Mrs, C.
Haugh, Brucelfield. Rev. T. W'ilkfns'on
officiated. The " bride, who was given
away in marriage by her father, wore
a gown ofshell pink crepe, made on
tight fitting lines, and trimmed with
White organdie, her hat was small and
white with a veil; she also w=ore a
necklace, the gilt of the groom, and
carried' a bouquet of Butterfly roses
and lily of the valley. Her sister, Miss
Meryle, who was bridesmaid, wore ..
gown of -pale green crepe, a small
white hat and carried a bouquet of
Talisman roses. De. Lance Norris,
friend of the groom, was best man.
'Following the cerelmaay, a reception
was held' at the home of the bride's
.parents, Mrs. Eckel, mother of the
bride, wearing a navy blue flowered
chiffon gowai, beige bat and corsage
