The regular monthly meeting of the
Barbara Kirkman Auxiliary of the
Presbyterian Church was held in the
school room on 'Tuesday evening;
May 116th, with a .good attendance.
Miss Pearl Patterson, leader of the
Robson Group, presided. ,Atter the op-
ening hymn, M'rs. Geo. Hills read the
iScripiture lesson. Miss Marian Gray
led in prayer, A chorus by the ,group
en'titled "God Will Take Care of
You," was mu'c'h enjoyed.. The busi-
ness part of the meeting was taken by
the president, Mrs. Jiohn Sclater, A
very nice solo was given, by .Miss Mur-
ray, accompanied by Mrs. J. E. Keat-
ing. Mrs. Gibson, Mies. M'dLean and
Mrs. Merton Reid then gave very in-
spiring talks on the most interesting
things heard at the pravi.ncial W.M.S,
meetings held at ,Stratford recently.
A hymn was sung and, all repeated the
Lord's prayer.

The regular meeting of the Young
People's League cd North Side Unit-
ed Church was held on Tuesday ev-
en'in'g, May 16th, with Mr. Sam 'S'c'ott
in the chair. Mies Ruth Thomipson,
convener of bhe M'iss'ionary depart-
ment, had eharge. The meeting open-
ed by the usual sing-son'g led by Miss
Mary Reid. Tlhe Lord's prayer was
then repeated in unison after which
the minutes• of the last meeting were
read by bhe secretary, Miss Winnie
S'avauge and adopted. After singing
hymn 1173 Mn. Sam Scott led in pray-
er. A short missionary story was given
by Mr. Jack- Cheoro.s add was much
enjoyed. A very pleasing violin solo

ing. The meeting opened by singing

read responsively from Psalm 96 and
led by Mrs. R. Step.heits. Rev. Con-
ner led in ,prayer. The devotional leaf-
let was taken by Mrs. W. Turner.
Hymn 356 was sung. The secretary's
and treasurer's reports were read and
adopted. Roll call was answered with
a verse beginning with the Atter I.
and Hymn. 399. The study was taken
from part of 6th chapter of the Work
of the Women's M'ission'ary Society"
by Miss Annie 'Jarrett. The business

The young men of Baylfiel'd are go-
ing in q'ui'te keenly for spoilt this sea-
son, there having been organized bath
a soft bail club and boot ,ball club. The
officers of the soft bail team are Pres-
ident, A. Siohier, secretary treasurer,
E. W. Piatdheld, manager, Jahn Toms;
assistant Manager, Jolhn' 'C'ase, masddt,
Stewart Sturgeon.. They have joined,
the softball league and the first game
here is on Wednesday afternoon, May
24th at 3 p.m. with Gloderich. 'T'here is

and they have entered in the H.F.A.
and the schedule of games will be
seen in another part of the paper.

St. Aactrew''s Church Sunday Morning
in the basement. There was a large
attendance with A. E. Erwin, super-
intendent, in -charge, Bert Dunn -read
the Scripture lesson and Clara Clark

followed by .a very fine address by Co-
lin Campbell, taking for his subject, -
"The Home in the Life of the Na -
