Golden Wedding,• --'M', and Mrs. Tihos. Coleman celebrated their gold- en wedding anniversary at their home in Tuckersmilh' on Tuesday, the 2+71th, of December. Thirty guests were pre- sent to do honor to the occasion. Their family of four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Cernoohan, of Detroit; Mrs. Eph, Clark of Hallett, Mrs. Geo. Johnston of !Stanley, Mrs. Cecil Oleg,. oh Tuckersmith, and two sons, Mr. Francis Coleman of McKillop, and Me. Russell Coletnan of Tuckerimitlh, also eleven grandchildren and the near relatives being present. Tut) grand- children were unable to attend, Mr. Golan Oarnodhlan and Mrs. PFarl Lyon and two great grand.ohildren. Frank and Craig Lyon ,of Detroit. The guests 'arrived at 12 noon and were served to a fowl dinner. Then they all assembled in 'the parlor and the afterndoe was spent in music and singing and readings, after which a dainty tea was served. They received many congratulations throughout the day from their neighbors and friends. They received many beautiful gifts, including a lovely 'bouquet of mums from the Ladies Aid No. 1, Egmon'd- ville. Mr. and Mrs. Coleman were born in the to'wns'hip of Hay, Mrs. Coleman being a daughter of the late John Troyer. ,They were married Dec. 37th, 1832, at the manse in Kippen by the Rev. Hugh Cameron. They lived on the south :boundary of Stanley, west of Klippen, for several years, and have lived in Tuckersmnbh for over 30 years. Mr. Thos. Arthur Mason, aged 59 years, pio- neer hotel keeper of Saskatoon, died early Monday morning at the family residence, 533 Fifth avenue north. He was taken seriously 111 on S'aturd'ay When a touch of influenza aggravated an asthmatic condition from which he had suffered for five years. air. Mason had been a resident of the city for 27 years, coming from Brucdfiel'd, On•te his birthplace. He had been the owner of the Royal Hotel, one of the city's pioneer h'osteleries. Mr. Meson was prominent in masonic circles, being a member ,of Lodge No. 16 AJF. & and for year's he had 'been a member of Knox Unified Church. He took an active interest in alt sports, his son, Charles, being a mem'be'r of 'Saska teen's professional hockey team, the Crescents.
