Mr. John Me -Dowell Sr., father of
Mr. William 'M:oDowell, Roxboro,
was kicked in the chest by ,both
hind feet of a horse, about 'five o -
clock on Wednesday afternoon. As
far as can be 'learned, no bones were
broken, but Mr. MCDawell received
a :very hard blore', which, at his ad-
vanced years, will be very severe.
Before having supper she was un-
harnessing a horse when ' in some
way it became •frightened and kick-
ed. Mr. ,M'dDow'ell was alt alone, but
he was alble to make his way to the
house..
