The weekly meeting of the Young
i'eopte's .Society of Northside United
Church was 'held on Tuesday evening,
,April 261h, with Miss Fennell pre-
siding, The meeting was opened by
singing hymn 95 after 'which the

son, The minutes of • the previous
meeting were read by the secretary,

After the business part of the meet-
ing was over, Mrs. A. Westcott read
the Scripture lesson. !Hymn 169. was
then sung. The main feature of the
evening was a debate "Resolved that
Christian ` Missions are a Greater
Force in World 'Progress than Trade
and Commence." Mr. Sam Scott and
Miss Roth Thompson took the nega-
tive side and Mr.:Savauge and Miss
