sonage, Exeter, was the setting for
a charming wedding when Doris
Marguerite, daughter of MT. and
Mrs. Edward H. Westeott, Exeter,

S., son of Mrs. Pearl Stephen, Hen
call and the late Otto Stephen, in a
double. -ring ceremony performed by
Rev H. J. Snell.
For her wedding the attractive
bride chose a floor length gown of
white nylon marquisette styled with
ruffed yoke and ruffed waistline,
the skirt tapering to a train. Her
headdress of ostrich tips held a
French illusion veil and her bridal
bouquet was of red roses.
Miss Maxine Parsons of London,
her bridesmaid, was gowned in blue
dotted swiss 'with matching head-
dress and she car'r'ied a bouquet of
yellow roses. Mervyn Stephen, Lon-
don, brother of the groom, was best
man.
Following a wedding reception Mr.
and Mrs. Stephen left for a honey-
moon trip through Northern Ontario,
the bride travelling in a green accessories.gab-
ardine suit with grey
Miss Joann Horton, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Wni. Horton, Detroit,
while vacationing at the home of her
aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Archie
Rowcliffe, south of the village, slip-
ped while riding a horse and fract-
ured her elbow. She was attended
by Dr. A. W. Oke, s Clinton.
Mr. and 'Mrs. Garnet Mousseau
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. David
Kyle are, holidaying in Northern On-
tario.
Mr, Frank Peart, who met with a
painful accident last week when he
had to have two fingers amputated
in a London Hospital, was •able to
return home this week.
A great number of the business
places on Main Street are being re-
decorated and present a very fine
appearance to the village.

at the plant, received a severe injury
to his ankle when he slid into second
base during the ball game which
took place. He has been confined to
Scott Memorial Hospital where it
was found necessary to rebreak his
ankle so that it could be properly set.
