Town of Seaforth from May 21st, 1949 to September lst,
1949.
Any dogs so found running at large, contrary to this
By -Law, shall be liable to be killed and the owner or
harborer prosecuted.

NOTICE
Town of Seaforth
Alt persons in the Municipality owning or
harboring dogs must purchase 1949 licenses for
same on or before Juune 30th, 1949. Licenses will be
issued from the Treasurer's Office in the Town Hall,
or from the Tax Collector, J. Cummings.
After that date summonses through the Court
will be issued to the owners or harbore'rs of dogs not
having licenses.
All dogs must wear license tags:

near Kitchener, on Saturday after-
noon.

A wedding of interest in this dis-
trict, was solemnized at St. John's
R.C. Church, Kitchener, on Satur-
day, when Margaret Mary, younger
daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Char'les
Strub, 83 Grulm St, was united in
marriage to Mr. Charles William
McEvoy, Kitchener, son of the late
Mr, and Mrs, Charles McEvoy, form-
erly of Ottawa, Rev. Wm. F. Gleason
officiated at the ceremony and the
Nuptial Mass with Mrs. Arthus'
Singlehur'st as organist. Miss Patricia
Leach sang 'ParrisAngelicas' at the
offertory and 'Ave Marie' during
the signing of the Register.
,Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a floor length gown
of white lace over satin, styled with
sweetheart neckline, puffed sleeves.
completed by matching elbow -length
mittens, bustle back, full skirt and
slight train. Her chapel veil of illu-
sion net was caught to a pearl 'bead
ed tiara headdress, She carried a
semi -cascade bouquet of pink roses.
Gowned alike were the, bride's three
attendants; Mrs. Ray, St. John'
sister of the bride, as matron of
honor, in pale pink; Mrs. John Hay-
enda and Mrs. Ruth Upchurch,
bridesmaids, in orchid and nile green
respectively., Their gowns were made
on princess lines, of embossed moire,
with bertha collars, matching mit-
tens and bonnet type headdress. A
nosegay of pink roses and white
gladioli florets was carried by the
maid of honor, while the other at-
tendants had yellow roses and white
florets, Mr: Willard Strub, only
brother of the bride was best man.
Attending the bridegroom were Mr.
Ray St. John, Kitchener, and Mr.
Williams Behrand, Detroit. Mr. John
Hayenrla and Mr. Victor Feeney
ushered. A wedding breakfast was
served at the home of the bride's
parents. A wedding dinner followed
by a reception was held at The
Hacienda, Waterloo. About one
hundred guests were received by the
br'ide's mother and the aunt of the
bridegroom, Mrs. Strub chose a
powder blue sheer dress with while
accessories and corsage of pink roses.
Mrs. Joseph Monroe. Ottawa, wore a
rose sheer frock and corsage of
white carnations.
For a honeymoon trip to Niagara
Falls and Buffalo, the bride chose
a pink sheer dress with white acces-
sories and corsage of white garden-
ias. She carried a light blue gabar-
dine top coat. Mr, and Mrs. McEvoy
will reside in Kitchener.

, Mrs, C. Watson was in Hensall
and -Grand Bend, Sunday. Miss Fern
Watson returned home on Sunday
after spending a week at Grand
Bend.

are away on vacation, Miss Dorothy

The villagers on the *est corner
are busy digging ditches and, laying
down pipe for the water to their
homes, it will be supplied from Mr,
T, Allen's artesian well,
Mr. Norm Alexander has made a
vast improvement to the interior of
his store, it is now much larger and
as up-to-date as most stores in much
larger centres.
There is one case of Polio in the
village, the small son of Mr, and
Mrs. T. Allen. The little lad is in
London hospital with a mild attack
and may soon be home again.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sprung and
five children, of the West, have
been visiting friends in the commun-
ity.
The regular meeting of the W.M.
S. was held in the church schoolroom
on Thursday, July 14th, group No. 3
took charge. Mrs. E. Wood opened
the meeting by the use of hymn
234 and by reading the introduction.
A period of silent prayer was ob-
served. Mrs. Fangrad sang a pleas-
ing solo "Make me a blessing" with
Mrs. Wood at piano. Mrs, Bert Shob-
brook took up the offering', Mrs,
Stanley Lyon gave a very interesting'
reariing, "Mrs. Ritchie's bargain
meeting". Hyman 377 was sung fol-
lowed with prayer by Mrs. B. Shob-
brook. The business part of the
meeting followed. In the absence of
the President, the lot vice president,
Mrs. F. Tamblyn, took the chair.
One verse of hymn 390 was sung,
roll was called and the question of
using some 'word' with the roll call
was discussed, It was decided to use
a verse of scripture eontaining the
word 'come' for our next meeting.
Articles for the overseas bale was
spoken of and four quilts are being
made, All good; used clothing and
new articles for children are needed.
Miss Young spoke on Christian Stew-
ardship. The slogan for missionary
work ,13 --`Advance', Mrs. Tamblyn

ions which were asked in the :mis-
sionary monthly', she also answered
them very effectively; The theme
