The Helping Hand Mission Band
held their meeting in the schoolroom
of the church, April 30. The meeting
opend with hymn 583 followed by
the Mission Band Purpose. Ronald
McClure read the scripture and Mar-
jorie Cuthill led in prayer. Jack Mc-
Clure took the offering followed by
the response. The minutes of the
last meeting were read by Dorothy
Cuthill and the study period Was ta-

ken by Mrs. Dodds and Mrs. David-
son. Hymn 405 was sung and the
meeting closed with the benediction.

Flight Lieutenant Charles Ken-
neth Thomas Passmore D,F,C. now
of Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs.
John Passmore, Hensall, recently- re-
ceived the D.F,C, medal under the
following citation, •

completed ' in various capacities,
numerous operations against' the
enemy in the course of which he has
invariably displayed the utmost for-
titude, courage and devotion to
duty.

served in Cannel Presbyterian

Rev. Glenn Campbell of First Pres-
byterian Church, Seaforth, will be

Mr. and Mrs: Lloyd Hudson of St,
Marys visited on Sunday with Mrs.
Blatchford.
Mr. Wm. Dinnin has disposed of
his residence on Main Street to Mr.
Charles Farquhar of Seaforth. Mr.
and Mrs. Dinnin moved to their
farm on 2nd con, Stanley this week.
Mr. John Henderson has pur-
chased the egg grading station from
Mr. A. W. Kerslake and commenced
the change over this week.
